Deye 12kW Single Phase Low Voltage Hybrid Inverter

The Deye SUN-12K-SG02LP1-EU-AM3 is a modern single-phase hybrid inverter designed for properties with substantial electricity requirements. Its 12kW rated AC input/output, 19.2kW maximum PV input and high-current low-voltage battery connection provide a strong foundation for large residential, farming and light-commercial solar energy systems.

The inverter coordinates energy from the solar array, compatible battery bank, utility grid and supported generator connection. This allows a correctly designed system to increase solar self-consumption, store surplus energy for later use and provide power to selected loads when grid electricity is unavailable.

12kW Single-Phase Hybrid Power

The inverter provides 12,000W of rated single-phase AC input/output power and up to 13,200VA of apparent power. Its maximum AC output current is 57.4A, while the grid-to-load connection supports up to 60A of continuous AC passthrough.

During off-grid operation, the inverter can deliver peak power of up to twice its rated output for 10 seconds. This surge capability helps a professionally designed system accommodate compatible loads with higher starting demands.

High-Capacity Solar PV Input

The Deye 12kW inverter supports up to 19,200W of maximum PV input power and specifies a maximum PV access power of 24,000W. Three independent MPPT trackers provide flexible array design when solar panels are installed across different roof sections, orientations or operating conditions.

250A Low-Voltage Battery Capability

The inverter operates with supported 40-60V battery systems and is compatible with lithium-ion or lead-acid battery technology. Maximum battery charging and discharging current is 250A, allowing the inverter to work with an appropriately sized battery bank capable of safely providing the required current.

CAN, RS485 and RS232 communication interfaces are available, while the lithium charging strategy can adapt to information received from a compatible battery-management system.

Flexible Energy Management

Six programmable charging and discharging periods allow battery use to be scheduled around solar availability, electricity tariffs and anticipated power requirements. Generator energy can also be stored when a compatible generator is correctly connected and configured.

AC-coupling capability allows the inverter to be incorporated into certain existing solar installations. Compatibility, metering, protection and control requirements must be assessed before retrofitting.

Scalable Parallel Operation

Up to 16 compatible units can operate in parallel for approved on-grid and off-grid applications. Parallel installations require the correct communication equipment, protection design, firmware compatibility and commissioning procedure.
