Sigen Energy Gateway and Backup Operation
The included Sigen Energy Gateway Home TP 30K manages the three-phase grid connection and backup supply together with the Energy Controller and batteries. Sigenergy specifies zero-millisecond backup disruption under its stated test conditions when the required compatible SigenStor components are correctly installed and configured.
Actual backup duration and supported circuits depend on the site load, solar production, battery state of charge, configured reserve and final system design. Large appliances, motors and high starting loads must be assessed before connection to the backed-up supply.
33kWp AIKO N-Type ABC Solar Array
Fifty AIKO Comet 3N72 AIKO-A660-MDE72Mw solar panels provide 33,000W of combined rated solar capacity. The panels use N-Type ABC cell technology and deliver 24.4% module efficiency, helping the system generate substantial energy from the available roof space.
- 660W rated power per panel
- 33kWp combined rated solar capacity
- 24.4% module efficiency
- N-Type ABC cell technology

Four-String Solar Array Design
The standard design distributes the fifty panels across four MPPTs as two strings of thirteen panels and two strings of twelve panels. At standard test conditions, a thirteen-panel string has approximately 704.6V open-circuit voltage and 591.5V maximum-power voltage, while a twelve-panel string has approximately 650.4V open-circuit voltage and 546V maximum-power voltage.
The installer must verify cold-weather voltage, roof orientations, shading, string routing, input limits and protection requirements before final connection. The listed string arrangement may be adjusted where site conditions require a different compliant design.
Electrical and Installation Materials
- 300m red 6mm² PV cable
- 300m black 6mm² PV cable
- 3 x packs containing five male and female MC4 connector pairs
- 2 x Eco double trunking lengths
- 1 x 4-in/4-out DC PV combiner box
- 100m of 16mm² bare copper earth wire
- 5 x M12 x 1.2m threaded earth spikes
- 20m of 16mm² four-core trailing cable
Five-Row Tile-Roof Mounting Structure
- 25 x 4.7m aluminium mounting rails
- 100 x aluminium tile roof hooks
- 90 x 30mm aluminium mid clamps
- 20 x 30mm aluminium end clamps
- 20 x solar rail splice connectors
The mounting quantities are calculated for five rows of ten portrait-mounted panels on a suitable tiled roof. Final quantities depend on roof dimensions, rafter spacing, structural condition, wind exposure, panel spacing and installer design.
Customers must confirm whether the property has a tile, IBR, corrugated, Klip-Lok or other roof type. Alternative roof profiles require compatible mounting components and may change the final quotation. A ground-mounted solar-panel array requires a separately designed structure.
Professional Sigenergy Installation
The package includes professional installation of the listed Energy Controller, five battery modules, Gateway, solar panels, protection equipment, cabling, earthing and mounting structure within the standard installation scope.
The system will be configured, commissioned and tested by an approved Sigenergy installer operating under JC Solar Panels. A Certificate of Compliance is included for the newly installed solar components and associated electrical work, subject to the completed installation meeting the applicable requirements.
Standard Installation Scope
The standard installation applies to a suitable single-storey building with reasonable access, an acceptable roof structure, standard cable routes and a compatible three-phase electrical installation capable of accommodating the system without extensive alterations.
Multiple-storey buildings, structural or roof repairs, civil work, trenching, scaffolding, lifting equipment, unusually long cable routes, distribution-board replacements, utility upgrades and unrelated electrical repairs are excluded and require a customised quotation.
Installation Areas
Installation is available in Johannesburg, Pretoria, the Western Cape, Rustenburg, Bloemfontein and Durban, subject to installer availability and site confirmation. Other areas are available by formal quotation.
Site Verification and Custom Quotations
Final system suitability depends on the property’s three-phase electrical supply, peak demand, daily consumption, backup requirements, distribution board, roof structure, shading and cable routes. Customers should provide their installation address, roof type, electricity usage and essential-load requirements so JC Solar Panels can confirm the package or prepare a customised solution.
