The white Pylontech UF5000 is a low-voltage lithium iron phosphate battery module developed for residential solar, battery-backup and small commercial energy-storage applications. It provides 5.12kWh nominal capacity and 4.864kWh usable capacity in a compact 19-inch rack-compatible format, making it suitable for neat cabinet installations and expandable battery banks.

High usable capacity from a compact module

A 95% depth of discharge allows the UF5000 to provide 4.864kWh of usable energy from its 5.12kWh nominal capacity. This gives homeowners and businesses access to more of the installed storage while the integrated battery-management system coordinates operating limits and cell protection.

The 51.2V DC architecture is designed for compatible low-voltage hybrid and off-grid inverter systems. It is not a high-voltage battery and must only be connected to equipment that supports the correct battery voltage, communication protocol and charge/discharge parameters.

Strong charge and discharge performance

The datasheet specifies 100A normal and maximum charge/discharge current, with a peak-current range of 121-200A for up to 15 seconds. This allows the battery to support demanding backup loads when the inverter, cabling, protection and total battery-bank design are correctly matched.

Actual system output remains subject to the inverter rating, battery-management limits, battery state of charge, temperature, cabling and the number of parallel modules. Professional commissioning is essential to ensure that the inverter follows the battery manufacturer’s voltage and current limits.

Expandable storage for changing energy needs

The UF5000 supports up to 20 modules in a single string. This modular design allows storage capacity to grow with the property’s energy requirements, subject to the Pylontech installation manual, approved interconnection hardware and compatible system design.

When adding batteries to an existing installation, model compatibility, age, firmware, state of health and balancing requirements must be checked first. The UF5000 must not be assumed to mix with other Pylontech ranges simply because they use a similar nominal voltage.

Long service life with LFP chemistry

Lithium iron phosphate chemistry is widely selected for stationary energy storage because it offers stable performance, long cycle life and strong thermal characteristics. Pylontech specifies a design life of 15 years at 25°C and more than 6,000 cycles at 25°C. Actual service life depends on operating temperature, cycling conditions, depth of discharge, installation quality and compliance with the manufacturer’s operating requirements.

Communication and inverter integration

RS485 and CAN communication allow a compatible inverter and the UF5000 battery-management system to exchange operating information. Correct communication enables the inverter to respond to battery charge and discharge limits, state of charge and protection conditions. The correct Pylontech communication cable, inverter profile and port configuration must be used.

Rack-mounted indoor installation

The white UF5000 measures 442 × 452.6 × 161mm (W × D × H), weighs 42kg and is compatible with suitable 19-inch rack or battery-cabinet installations. Its IP20 enclosure is intended for protected indoor environments. The battery must be kept away from moisture, condensation, direct weather exposure and unsuitable heat sources.

The specified charging and discharging temperature range is -10°C to +55°C. Storage temperature is -20°C to +60°C, permissible humidity is 5-95% without condensation and the maximum specified altitude is 4,000m.

The UF5000 datasheet lists IEC 62619, UN38.3, RoHS, REACH, WEEE and MSDS certification or documentation. The product carries a 10-year manufacturer warranty according to the existing JC Solar Panels UF5000 product information, subject to registration, approved installation, operating conditions and the complete manufacturer and supplier warranty terms.

Compatibility and installation notice

Always confirm inverter compatibility before ordering or installation. The existing UF5000 product guidance states that the UF5000 must not be mixed in the same battery bank with the Pylontech UP5000, US3000C or US2000C. Use only approved batteries, cables, communication equipment, protection devices and installation methods.

The battery price covers the battery module only. An inverter, battery cabinet or rack, battery cables, communication cable, protection equipment, switchgear, transport and installation are not included unless specifically stated in the quotation.
